There is another chance to spend a Sunday morning looking for dolphins from one of the best viewpoints on the Teesside coast this autumn.

Tees Valley Wildlife Trust will hold a free social sea watch at Saltburn Fossil Garden on Sunday 11 October, from 10.30am until noon.

The gathering is relaxed. Experienced sea watchers will be there, but the session is also open to people who have never tried spotting marine wildlife before. Volunteers will help visitors look for dolphins, other marine mammals and seabirds from the top promenade beside Saltburn’s Victorian cliff lift.

The event is suitable for families and adults, there is no need to book, and people can stay for the full session or simply drop in. The meeting point is fully wheelchair accessible, dogs are welcome on leads and free parking is available on Marine Parade.

Binoculars are useful if you have them, although they are not essential. Visitors are advised to dress for the weather.
