Walker to represent the walk by outrank · Original source

A Teesside digital agency is swapping keyboards for walking boots next month for a 30.4km coastal challenge supporting two local charities.

Outrank’s Tees Tech Trek begins in Saltburn at 9am on Saturday 12 September and follows the coast to Whitby. The company says staff will be joined by clients, friends and supporters for a walk expected to take around seven hours.

Money raised will be split between Teesside Hospice and MFC Foundation, two organisations with very different roles but deep roots in the area.

Teesside Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care alongside support for patients and families. MFC Foundation uses the of Middlesbrough Football Club to deliver education, employment, health and community programmes.

The challenge is also another example of local businesses turning team activities into practical fundraising. Outrank has an existing relationship with Teesside Hospice and became one of the charity’s corporate partners in 2025.

People interested in supporting the trek can donate through the fundraising links in Outrank’s campaign page. The company has also invited local businesses, clients and supporters who want to get involved to contact the team directly.

: The route, date, distance and beneficiary charities were checked against Outrank’s campaign announcement. Teesside Hospice’s public channels also confirm Outrank’s fundraising support.
