Our advertising policy
We want local businesses to thrive without compromising the trust readers place in The Tees.
- Advertisements must be legal, accurate, clearly identifiable and respectful of our communities.
- We do not accept gambling, payday lending, exploitative finance, adult services, tobacco, vaping, recreational drugs, weapons, hate speech, discrimination, or misleading health and weight-loss claims.
- We may decline adverts that exploit vulnerable people, use deceptive urgency or contradict the community-focused ethos of The Tees.
- Advertising never buys editorial coverage or influence. Sponsored material will be clearly marked.
- Artwork and destinations are reviewed before publication. We may reject or withdraw a campaign and will discuss refunds where applicable.
- Placement is rotational and not exclusive. Audience, clicks or conversions are not guaranteed. Campaign duration starts on activation, not enquiry submission.
