Housing & Food Support
Teesside has long faced challenges related to housing and food security, with local services working tirelessly to support those in need. In 2022, Middlesbrough saw an increase in homelessness, with over 1,000 people seeking housing support. Food insecurity is also rising, with an increasing reliance on food banks. Teesside has numerous resources to help those struggling, offering access to emergency accommodation, long-term housing solutions, and food assistance.
We aim to connect you to these vital services, helping to ensure everyone has a place to call home and food on the table.

‘The Tees’ is a community-run project that aims to connect and empower communities throughout the Tees area. We are a collective of people who realise that this area has many incredible assets, but that it’s not without its problems. We feel that the best way to achieve the full potential of the Tees is for us to stand together, united, to empower our citizens, celebrate and have pride in our achievements whilst taking action on those issues which harm our communities.
