Join Teesside Mind’s Big Pub Quiz: A Fun Way to Support Mental Health

Pubs across Teesside are invited to take part in a fantastic opportunity to support mental health in their community by hosting Teesside Mind’s Big Pub Quiz.

This event is not only a great way to bring people together for a night of fun and trivia, but it also plays a vital role in raising awareness and funds for mental health services in the region.

Matt Campbell, Fundraising Officer for Teesside Mind, encourages all local pubs to get involved, saying, “The Big Pub Quiz is a brilliant way for pubs to engage with their customers while supporting a cause that touches so many lives. Mental health is an issue that affects everyone, and by hosting a quiz, pubs can help us continue our work in providing crucial services to those in need.”

Participating in the Big Pub Quiz is simple. Pubs just need to email fundraising@teessidemind.org.uk with their pub name and contact details for the person organising the quiz. Teesside Mind will provide all the necessary resources, including quiz questions, promotional materials, and tips for running a successful event.

Teesside Mind’s BIG PUB QUIZ launches this weekend! Be one of the first to sign up to support better mental health in Teesside!

Katie Peel, a volunteer at Teesside Mind, adds, “Hosting the Big Pub Quiz is such a rewarding experience. It’s amazing to see the community come together, not just to have fun, but to support mental health in a meaningful way. Every quiz hosted helps spread awareness and break down the stigma associated with mental health issues.”

Hosting a quiz can bring in new customers, provide a lively atmosphere, and align your pub with a positive and impactful cause. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to show your customers that you care about their well-being and the well-being of the community.

Each year, Teesside Mind supports over 15,000 local people who are struggling with their mental health. From children as young as five to staff in the workplace, vulnerable adults in police custody to those with complex mental health issues, the charity provides a diverse range of services.

For pubs ready to make a difference, getting involved is easy. Just visit the Teesside Mind ‘Big Pub Quiz’ page here, call 01642 257020 or email fundraising@teessidemind.org.uk with your pub’s name and the contact details of the person running the quiz.
