Teesside, The Tees & Mental Health

Below is a table of mental health support services available free in the UK & Teesside, provided by The Tees, which is committed to supporting the well-being of the people in our region. As we know, mental health plays a vital role in the overall quality of life, and Teesside has been significantly impacted by mental health challenges.

In recent years, suicide rates in England have risen, with the North East recording one of the highest rates. In fact, the male suicide rate in the region stands at 17.1 per 100,000 people (Samaritans), and areas like Teesside face ongoing struggles with mental health, with many people affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide (Research Briefings).

The Tees aims to provide easy access to mental health resources and support services for residents of Teesside. We believe that by sharing these resources, we can help people take the first steps toward getting the help they need. Whether you need someone to talk to, crisis intervention, or long-term support, the services listed are available to support you and your loved ones.

We stand together for better mental health in Teesside!
