Teachers and support staff from Clavering Primary School in Hartlepool have raised £2,778.75 to improve the hospital experience for young patients. The group completed a 26-mile walk from Robin Hood’s Bay to Saltburn in April to generate the funds.

Matthew Stoddart, a teacher at Clavering Primary School, stated that the group wanted to fund toys and activities to brighten hospital stays. credited the support of the community for helping the team push through the final miles of their long-distance walk.

Alyson Thompson, team leader on the children’s , expressed gratitude for the contribution. She explained that the funds will support the ward's ambition to develop a sensory room and garden, providing a safer and more relaxed environment for families with complex needs.
