North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust has opened applications for the second intake of its ‘100 Leaders’ programme. The , first launched in June 2021, aims to support staff development through mentorship and collaborative team projects.

The first cohort consisted of 10 teams who worked on diverse projects, ranging from reducing theatre waste to improving ultrasound access for expectant mothers and introducing buddy systems for staff. Participants received training from Teesside University and mentorship from executive sponsors during the six-month programme.

The Trust is now seeking another 100 participants to join the next group. The programme is designed to encourage staff at all levels to propose ideas for service improvements that align with the organisation’s core values of care, aspiration, respect, and empathy.

Staff interested in the programme must consult the information pack available from the leadership team. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 11 February 2022.
