Three Darlington venues will become one festival site this Saturday when Last Train Home returns with live music and comedy from regional and national performers.

The festival takes over Darlington Hippodrome, The Hullabaloo and The Forum Music Centre on 5 September. Its neat organising idea is built into the name: the programme is designed to finish in time for festivalgoers to catch the last train home.

Music across the day ranges from rock, pop and neo-soul to punk, indie and grime, with stages programmed by Darlington’s Tracks alongside BBC Introducing and NARC magazine. Hilarity Bites is providing the comedy line-up.

Darlington Borough Council lists tickets at £25 plus booking fee in advance, or £30 on the door.
