Darlington’s Last Train Home Festival returns on Saturday 5 September with more than 40 music and comedy acts spread across six stages in the town centre.
The festival, organised by Tracks Darlington, will take over The Forum Music Centre, The Hullabaloo and Darlington Hippodrome, with a programme that mixes local and national artists with a full comedy line-up.
Among the first wave of names announced are Lucia & The Best Boys, Benefits, LEAZES, Labyrinthine Oceans, Risco, Polyvinyl, Callum Pitt, Katie Grace, WENCH!, Glad Town Ghost, Anna Karila and The Callows. The comedy programme includes Gavin Webster, Silky, The Halls of Ridiculous, Devin Gray, Maxine Wade, Dawn Bailey, El Purnell, Anna Thomas and Ray Bradshaw, with Rob Mulholland compering.
Darlington Hippodrome independently confirms the festival starts at 1pm and forms part of the six-stage route through the town.
Advance tickets are listed at £25 plus booking fee, with £30 tickets available on the door. Carer tickets are available by contacting Tracks Darlington directly.
Last Train Home has become a regular showcase for independent artists in a town whose railway history gives the festival its name. The idea is simple: fill central Darlington with live performance, then finish in time for people to catch the last train home.
