Darlington town centre will turn into a free live music circuit on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September when Rhythm & Tunes Weekend returns.

The two-day festival is organised by Darlington Borough Council with Darlington Rock n Blues Club and Gasto Promotions. The published programme promises rock, blues, R&B, tribute acts and local talent, with performances centred on Market Square and spread across other town-centre venues.

The event runs from 11am on Saturday through to 5pm on Sunday. Entry is free.

The detailed artist line-up had not yet been published when The Tees checked the official listing, so no performers have been added here before they are confirmed.

Rhythm & Tunes is one of several events using Darlington’s town centre as a shared performance space rather than keeping audiences inside a single venue. That means people can move between stages and businesses across the day, with the programme designed to make the centre itself part of the event.
