People who are members of Teesside's two NHS foundation trusts are being invited to hear directly from hospital teams about the past year and what comes next.

University Hospitals Tees will hold its annual general meeting on Monday 5 October from 1.30pm to 4pm at the Digital Life Centre at Teesside University.

Alongside the formal update from the board, teams from across University Hospitals Tees and external organisations will run marketplace stands showcasing healthcare developments, services and innovation. The meeting will also include a question-and-answer session.

The event is open to members of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. Foundation trust membership is free and gives local people opportunities to vote for governors, attend meetings and have a say in the development of services.

University Hospitals Tees says more than 100 people attended its first group general meeting last year. Members who want to attend this year's event are asked to register with the trust.
