Community organisations across the Tees Valley have another opportunity to seek financial backing for projects that make a practical difference locally.

The Teesside Charity has opened applications for the round that will be considered at its December 2026 meeting. Applications close at 12pm on Thursday 12 November.

The funding is aimed at projects benefiting communities within the five Tees Valley council areas: Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Darlington.

Applicants are asked to explain what their project will do, which parts of the Tees Valley will benefit, the expected public or community benefit, project timescales and how the requested money would be spent. Details of other funding are also requested.

The charity says that, as a general rule, its grants do not fund salaries. Its panel normally meets four times a year to consider applications.

Groups thinking about applying can check the charity's grant-making policy before submitting an application, and The Teesside Charity says its team can offer support to organisations that want to discuss an application.

For smaller organisations, funding windows like this can be particularly useful because they give locally rooted ideas a route to support without requiring them to compete solely through national programmes.
