A family-owned Middlesbrough transport company has won an expanded nationwide distribution contract after an existing customer decided to place more work with the firm.
Hutchinson Transport will now carry solvents from Univar Solutions’ Cadishead facility to customers across the UK. The company already distributes a range of Univar speciality chemical products nationally.
Univar said Hutchinson’s performance on the existing agreement was a key factor in awarding the additional work, pointing to the team’s responsiveness, communication and handling of changing requirements.
For Hutchinson, the extra contract is a straightforward vote of confidence in the people doing the day-to-day work, from drivers and planners to the operational team.
The agreement also gives a Middlesbrough-based family business a larger role in a specialist national , building on work it has already been trusted to deliver.
