A Stockton care business that started on Teesside and now employs more than 250 people is again helping to celebrate new firms finding their feet across the region.
Moonrise 24hr Recruitment has signed up to sponsor the Best New Business category at the Tees Businesswomen Awards for the third consecutive year.
The category is open to ventures launched since November 2023 where women are central to the story, whether through leadership, the wider team or the idea behind the business.
Moonrise was founded in Teesside by managing director Jessica Gwaringa in 2014. It has grown from a healthcare recruitment agency into a wider care organisation working across domiciliary care, supported living, children’s services, staffing and training. The company now operates across the North East, Yorkshire and Scotland.
There is still time for local businesses and individuals to put names forward for this year’s awards. Nominations close on Monday 7 September, with the ceremony taking place at Hardwick Hall Hotel on Wednesday 4 November.
