A Billingham employer is putting its name behind an award that celebrates some of the people doing the quiet, practical work that keeps communities across Teesside moving.

CF Fertilisers will sponsor the Charity Award at the 2026 Tees Businesswomen Awards for the third year running. The category recognises charities and voluntary organisations making a positive difference across the region, with particular to the contribution and leadership of women.

The company’s involvement goes beyond the awards night. Through its Inclusion Resource Group, CF Fertilisers supports causes linked to local community development, access to healthy food, environmental and STEM education. Full-time employees are also given one paid day each year to volunteer for a registered charity, cause or not-for-profit organisation.

Entries for this year’s Tees Businesswomen Awards remain open until Monday 7 September. The awards themselves take place at Hardwick Hall Hotel on Wednesday 4 November.

Last year’s Charity Award was won by My Sisters Place, with Co-working Thursdays and Footprints in the Community also reaching the final.
