A fundraising challenge with a chilly centrepiece is heading back to Middlesbrough next weekend.

The PFC Trust’s UChangeLives Charity Ice Bucket Challenge will take place at Middlesbrough Velodrome on Sunday 6 September, with the current organiser listing giving a running time of 11am to 3pm.

The event is designed to let people raise money for their own local sports club, school, charity or community group while taking part in the challenge. A family fun day will run alongside it, with cycling and other activities planned at the velodrome.

The Hartlepool-based PFC Trust says the event forms part of its wider UChangeLives campaign, which supports community fundraising and local causes across the area.

An older page on the charity’s website still shows a noon to 4pm window, so The Tees has used the newer UChangeLives event page, which lists 11am to 3pm. Anyone travelling specifically for the challenge should check the organiser page before setting off in case timings change again.
