Gary Meikle is bringing his latest stand-up show to Middlesbrough this weekend, with a Saturday night date at the Town Hall.

Yer Maw arrives on Saturday 5 September, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £30.50 including the booking fee, and the venue currently lists limited availability.

The Scottish comedian describes the new show as another 80 to 90 minutes of fresh material, drawing on stories, opinions, family life and the odd situations people manage to land themselves in.

Rather than pretending the whole thing can be neatly summed up months in advance, Meikle’s own description is refreshingly straightforward: the material will evolve, it will be about people, and there will be at least one “yer maw” joke.

The show is for ages 16 and over. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Gary Meikle: Yer Maw is at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday 5 September 2026. Full details and tickets are available from Middlesbrough Box Office.
