A new group of graduates and trainees has started work with accountancy and business advisory firm Clive Owen, including new starters based in Darlington and Middlesbrough.
Seven people have joined the firm's latest intake across its Audit & Accounts and Tax teams, working from offices in Darlington, Middlesbrough, York, Durham and Newcastle. In Darlington, Francesca Stobbs, Jonathan Cale and Alistair Sweetin join colleagues who began their training earlier this year, while Liam Hawkins is based in Middlesbrough.
The firm says the programme combines structured professional development, practical experience and mentoring, giving trainees a route towards professional qualifications while working with clients.
Clive Owen is a Platinum Member of The 5% Club, an recognising employers that create opportunities through apprenticeships, graduate programmes and other earn-and-learn routes.
For Teesside and Darlington, the intake is another small but useful example of professional careers being developed locally, with people able to begin their training without having to head elsewhere to find a graduate route.
