80s Live brings a two-dozen-song retro party to Darlington

A live band and cast will take Darlington Hippodrome through hits associated with Wham!, Madonna, Duran Duran, Rick Astley and more on Friday 4 September.

Darlington is getting a sizeable dose of 1980s pop this Friday as 80s Live arrives at the Hippodrome.

The touring production starts at 7.30pm on 4 September and pairs a live band with a cast performing more than two dozen songs from the decade.

The venue’s programme draws on music acts including Wham!, The Weather Girls, Culture Club, Rick Astley, Madonna, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, The Human League, A-ha and Tears for Fears. Songs listed for the show include Tainted Love, Love Shack, The Final Countdown, Don’t You Want Me?, Never Gonna Give You Up and Rio.

The show runs for two hours and 20 minutes, with ticket prices varying by seating area.
