International graduates with a Teesside University connection have a new chance to put the work they are doing around the world in the spotlight.

Applications opened on 1 September for the British Council’s UK Alumni Awards, which recognise international graduates of UK universities who are using their education to make a positive difference in their communities, industries and countries.

The awards cover four areas: Business and Innovation; Culture, Creativity and Sport; Science and ; and Social Action.

Teesside University is encouraging alumni to apply. Successful graduates can be considered for the global Alumni Awards and, where available, national awards in the countries where they are making an impact.

The programme is designed to recognise leadership, innovation and practical change, from building businesses and advancing to supporting communities and contributing to culture and sport.

For Teesside, it is also a chance to follow the journeys of people whose connection with Middlesbrough has travelled far beyond the campus. The University has an international alumni community, and the awards are open to graduates creating impact around the world.

Applications for the new awards cycle are now open through Study UK.
