A movement created on Teesside to support female entrepreneurs is growing its national after holding its second Founder Live event at Teesside University.
Female Founder UK brought founders, business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs to The Curve in Middlesbrough for an evening focused on the realities of building a business. Discussions covered visibility, investment , financial and the gap between polished social-media success stories and day-to-day entrepreneurship.
The movement was founded by entrepreneur Max Freer. Teesside University alumni were among those taking part, including Laura Hall, founder of The LH Group, who spoke about her own business journey.
With roots in Teesside, Female Founder UK is now planning events in Newcastle, Manchester and London. That gives a locally created network the chance to take some of the conversations started in Middlesbrough to a much wider audience.
