Tees Bay Swing Band brings a 1940s afternoon to Hartlepool Art Gallery

Hartlepool Art Gallery is turning the clock back on Saturday 5 September as Tees Bay Swing Band brings a two-hour 1940s performance to Church Square, with under-10s admitted free.

Hartlepool Art Gallery will swap quiet gallery tones for big-band swing on Saturday 5 September, when Tees Bay Swing Band arrives for an afternoon inspired by the music of the 1940s.

The performance runs from 4.30pm to 6.15pm, with doors opening at 4pm. Culture Hartlepool lists the event as lasting around two hours including an interval.

Standard tickets cost £6, while children under 10 can attend free. The performance takes place at Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square.

It is another reason to make a day of Hartlepool’s cultural quarter, with the gallery continuing to host exhibitions and events alongside its regular programme.
