More than 90 staff, patients, and relatives took part in two major fundraising events over a single weekend to support the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust charity.

Community pharmacist Lottie Ayres Nicholson joined the Great North Run to express her thanks for the maternity care she received six years ago. Similarly, critical care nurse Emily Baker completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks, noting that the challenge helped her empathise with the of her patients.

Fundraising coordinator Suzi Campbell confirmed the total raised stands at more than £18,000, with funds dedicated to patient care and staff . Support was provided by final year students from Teesside University and Corporate Personal Wellbeing, with sponsorship from NTH Solutions and the Durham Road Tesco.
