makers and small businesses will set up shop at Teesside Park this Friday as Little Bird Made returns for its second visit of the year.

The outdoor artisan market runs from 10am to 4pm on Friday 4 September, bringing together traders selling handmade candles and home fragrance, original artwork, jewellery, fashion, accessories and freshly baked goods.

Organiser Little Bird Made says the market marks the start of its autumn trading season. Among the businesses taking part is Hartlepool-based CHANGE Skincare, giving the event a clear local thread alongside the wider line-up of independent producers.

For shoppers, it is a chance to buy directly from smaller businesses while Teesside Park is already busy with its usual shops, restaurants and leisure venues.

Middlesbrough steel helped build Sydney Harbour Bridge

Dorman Long, founded in Middlesbrough, built the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Tees Valley Museums records that steel for the project was produced at Skinningrove using local ironstone.
