One of Middlesbrough’s best-known markets is getting ready to celebrate a decade on the town’s streets.

Orange Pip Market returns to Baker and Bedford Streets on Saturday 26 September, with the September edition marking 10 years of the event.

The official listing promises a bumper programme bringing together food and drink, independent makers, music and artists. The market will run from midday until 6pm.

Orange Pip has become a familiar part of Middlesbrough’s cultural calendar, regularly turning the streets around Baker and Bedford into a pedestrian-friendly mix of stalls, performances and local independent businesses.

The anniversary comes after a summer of Orange Pip activity in the town, including August’s Pride-themed market. September’s event is being billed specifically as the market’s tenth birthday celebration.

Entry to the street market is free. Anyone planning to travel specifically for the event should check the organiser’s latest updates before setting off, particularly as the detailed September programme is still being assembled.
