Eleven new youth clubs and activities are set to open across Middlesbrough after a £240,000 council funding programme focused on giving young people more to do close to home.

New will areas including Easterside, Linthorpe, Trimdon, Marton and Nunthorpe, while additional activity is planned in Acklam, Coulby Newham, Park End, the town centre and Brambles Farm.

The sessions will cover different interests rather than following a single , with activities such as sport, gaming and practical life skills. The wider aim is straightforward: more supervised, welcoming places where young people can meet, learn and spend time safely in their own neighbourhoods.
