Young people in Hartlepool are being given a new platform to show what their town means to them through art, words, photography and other creative forms.

The Through Our Eyes competition is open to children and young people aged up to 25. Entries can explore themes including friendship, inclusion, kindness, diversity, learning, aspiration, belonging and hope, with no fixed format for how those ideas should be expressed.

Selected work will go on display and awards will recognise creativity and originality. Entries are due by Friday 23 October, giving young people a chance to put their own perspective at the centre of how Hartlepool talks about community.
