Hartlepool Restaurant Week is back from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 October 2026, with cafés, restaurants and other eateries across the borough preparing special menus and dishes at £5, £10, £15 and £20 price points.

The is organised by Hartlepool Borough Council’s Economic Growth Team. It is intended to help local hospitality businesses new customers while giving residents a chance to try somewhere different without committing to a full-price meal.

Who is taking part?

The council’s announcement names a broad selection of venues, including No. 5 New York Pizza, The Marine Hotel, Wallis & Co, Dilshad, The Owl, Rappor Lounge, Craft Burger, Surfside Fish Restaurant, Sheesh Mahal and Hartlepool Golf Club. Other cafés, restaurants and food businesses are also participating.

Offers vary by venue. Some businesses are preparing dedicated Restaurant Week menus, while others will offer selected dishes from their usual menus. The four advertised prices are offer tiers across the event, not a promise that every participating venue will have something at each price.

How to make the most of the week

Before heading out, check the official Explore Hartlepool Restaurant Week guide for each venue’s current offer, opening times and any conditions. The council’s announcement and the visitor guide do not show identical venue lists, so checking directly with the business is sensible, particularly if you are travelling for a specific deal.

When ordering, tell staff you would like the Restaurant Week offer. The organisers also encourage diners to share their experiences using #ExploreHartlepool or #HartlepoolRestaurantWeek.

Why it matters

Restaurant Week gives people a reason to visit local cafés and restaurants at a time when hospitality businesses value extra footfall. The council describes the October programme as one of its largest line-ups so far, though it has not published a verified final total of participating businesses.

It also makes a simple invitation to residents: choose a venue you already love, or try somewhere you have been meaning to visit. Either way, the money spent goes towards Hartlepool’s local hospitality economy.
