Hartlepool Enterprise Centre is being offered for sale, but its role as a base for start-ups and small firms is set to remain part of the deal.

The Brougham Terrace centre contains 47 office and workshop units and will be sold as a going concern, with the council requiring it to continue operating as a business centre. The Victorian former school also has meeting rooms, a café, a 51-space car park and 30 rooftop solar panels.

Recent investment has included refurbishment and a new glazed entrance atrium. Bids are invited by noon on Friday 27 November, with the council looking for an owner able to build on the centre’s established business-support role.
