Contractors working at the Teesworks site have volunteered to repaint car parking facilities at a local football club to assist the community.

Hall Construction, a firm currently engaged in site preparation works at Teesworks, has completed a community project to help Redcar Town Football Club. The team, supported by subcontractor Couple Line, painted the lines for the club's newly designed car park free of charge.

The football club, based in Dormanstown, serves 350 members across 23 teams. The organisation had previously allowed its car park to be used by visitors touring the nearby Teesworks site before coronavirus restrictions necessitated a postponement of those visits.

The improvements were finished ahead of the scheduled reopening of organised outdoor sports. James Hall of Hall Construction noted the firm’s desire to support the local area while working on the industrial site transformation.

Redcar Town FC, a Registered Community Amateur Sports Club, operates on a voluntary basis. The club had historical ties to the area's industrial , with many families of former steelworkers involved in its teams over the years.
