Organisations across the region are now able to submit bids for the UK Community Renewal Fund. The aims to support projects that target local growth, skills training, employment support, and business investment.

The fund is open to a range of applicants, including charities, community groups, private businesses, universities, and . Officials are particularly interested in large-scale projects valued at £500,000 or more that address specific local priorities.

Potential schemes could include pilot training programmes, support for business start-ups, projects to improve rural connectivity, or efforts to assist the cultural sector. Successful bids will be managed by the , which will oversee project performance and distribution.

Julie Gilhespie, Group Chief Executive at , stated that the fund offers a chance for local organisations to collaborate on recovery efforts following the pandemic. The deadline for all submissions is 12 noon on Friday, 14 May 2021.
