Spooquay: Ghost Ship transforms Royal Navy Museums: Hartlepool into an after-hours Halloween experience on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026. Visitors are guided through Hartlepool Historic Quay by characters performed by Northern School of Art performers before stepping aboard HMS Trincomalee. The wider evening also includes live cannon firings, selected museum galleries after dark and seasonal food and drink. Timed departures run from 5pm, with earlier experiences designed to be more family-friendly and later departures featuring darker themes, more suspense and occasional jump scares. Children of all ages are welcome, but under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The Historic Quay is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets; some areas of HMS Trincomalee have limited accessibility because of the historic ship.
