The Little Silver Kiln is running a five-hour beginner silversmithing workshop at its studio inside The BIS in Hartlepool. Participants will make three different sterling-silver stacking rings using texturing, shaping and soldering techniques, then choose a gemstone to add to a pre-made bezel setting. No previous jewellery-making experience is needed. The organiser says all silver, tools, equipment, tuition, drinks and a snack are included, and the class is kept to a maximum of eight people. The event is suitable for ages 14+, with 14–17-year-olds required to attend with a paying and participating adult.
